This recipe from Tiare at A Mountain Of Crushed Ice sounds great, especially for the holidays.
When I was in Tokyo recently, the Tully's Coffee near my hotel served fresh squeezed blood orange. I had it pretty much every day. I can only imagine that it'd be a very versatile mixer.
Blood Orange Punch
- 2 oz aged cachaça
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz cinnamon syrup
- 2 oz fresh blood orange juice
- Top with a dash of grenadine
Shake over ice and pour in glass filled with crushed ice, top with a dash grenadine, add more crushed ice to fill. Garnish with a clove studded lime spiral and cinnamon stick.
One thing, though... The garnish looks like something an avatar on World Of Warcraft might wear! (Click through to Tiare's post for the picture.)
And, with that, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all you Cachaçagorites! Feliz Natal!
